‘Unforgettably Fashionable’ is the phrase that came to my mind as I was writing and developing this event recap post! Last night DuffyDossier.com attended Fashion For The Wild, a fashion-filled event at The Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium. How cool is that? …an event at the Zoo! If only it didn’t rain last evening, I would have been able to see all those lions, tigers and bears (oh my!).
Fashion For The Wild piloted itself for the first time in Pittsburgh last night – the event consisted of a wildlife themed fashion show with various talented, local Pittsburgh Fashion Designers – Kiya Tomlin, LanaВ Neumeyer, Sandra Cadavid, and Andrea Howell lead designer of Tidal Cool Creations, a Trunk Show and Sale, Silent Auction and entertainment (not to mention a beautiful light display by LUXE Lighting Owner and Lead Designer, Martin). The event was held in the Zoo’s Aquatic Building and it was the perfect setting for something so out of the box!
The evening hosts were Pittsburgh’s own, Sally Wiggin from WTAE and Television & Screen Actor, David Conrad. Each guest of the event was encouraged to bring an accessory to donate to the Women’s Shelter and Center of Greater Pittsburgh. There was also this fabulous custom cocktail called the Zootini that was too blue-colorful and scrumptious to explain! Here are a few photos from last night (Sorry about the cell phone quality, peeps – #thumbsdown)…

My favorite look? Well, it’s a tie! Between Miss Kiya Tomlin and Andrea Howell. Kiya created this gorgeous black gown with a feathered turtle neck! If only I was tall enough to rock such a frock, sigh. And then, there was an ensemble from Tidal Cool Creations with a 60s inspired hat that I couldn’t get past obsessing over; I mean come on, guys – it was too close to vintage for me not to mention рџ‰
Ever so stylishly yours,
\\ xx, Alex
