90s Turtleneck.
90s Turtleneck. What exactly constitutes as a “90s turtleneck,” you ask? This one, this one right here. Look closely, can you see the floral pattern imprinted into the stretch-fabric? That right there, is what makes this turtle neck 90s.
I can remember it clear as day, Limited Too had a turtle neck just like this, I believe it was in the color blue growing up. This particular turtleneck, in this blog post, is actually from a Goodwill in Pittsburgh. (BTW – this piece washes SO WELL.)
I paired the thrifted t-neck with high waisted, ripped denim jeans, a red belt, matching red suede pumps and my favorite white coat ever … the #whitecoatwinter. (Even though technically, this coat is meant to be worn in the Spring)
I get a lot of my jeans/pants from H&M. For two reasons, 1) they’re cheap and 2) since they’re cheap, I don’t feel bad if I have to cut them to fit my short-legs. It’s funny and frustrating, most all denim fits me, it’s just not in the length. Some of my favorite jean scores from H&M: Skinny Low Ankle Jeans (in any color, I have them in grey), Super Skinny Low Ripped Jeans and Super Skinny High Jegging.
The red suede pumps are BCBG from Saks OFF 5th. I got them during an event at the outlet malls all the way in Aurora, IL … about and hour south of Chicago. Super cool score!
